Hertz has taught me many things to expand on already extensive management and customer service experience. While some company policies are counter-intuitive and sometimes conflict with each other, Hertz is willing to re-evaluate its policies to find the best practices for the company's growth and the growth of its employees. The benefits and bonus options are pretty good overall, and the flexibility of hours is excellent for anyone who requires it for school, family life, etc.

It was a job, it paid the bills. Terrible environment, they used people until they wore out, used the constant fear of being fired to get people to work forced overtime. You had to have a college degree for the job but you only exceed the poverty line because of the forced overtime.

I really enjoy working for Hertz but feel there is little or no opportunity for upward movement. Management is very overwhelming and give very little feedback when you are meeting required KPI's. Support is seldom given and most employees leave within 2 years.

A typical day at Hertz is like no other job I have ever had. I manage two stores with a total of seven employees. Problem solving at all times. Answering phones, doing computer generated rentals. Washing cars and detailing. Things changed all the time. Very fast pace and things changed in a minutes notice.

What sounded great was the promotion opportunities you could get in short time if you do good work or (sales). What I end up being is a glorified detailer with no signs of promotion in the skyline. I like the operation itself and please with seriousness consider having more than just three people in each branch, I get that you're trying to maximize productivity and reduce as much wage expense accrued to your account. I enjoy getting to know the frequent travelers, the frequent customers. Pay is not very well as I was promised and you have to rely on the bonuses to pay the bill. If you get a bad review from a customer then good luck being a month behind on bills.

Fun place no life balances at certain locations but others maybe have to much life balance. Just depends where you work. Can move up if you put the work in, but the pay is not where is should be.
